Thomas L. "Mack" McVicker

Thomas L. McVicker, affectionately known as "Mack" to his friends, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026, at the age of 83. He lived a life defined by love, hard work, loyalty, and devotion to his family. From the time he was a young boy, Mack knew Linda Carlisle was the love of his life. Their childhood romance blossomed into a lifelong marriage on December 31, 1962. Together they built a beautiful life and raised two daughters, sharing more than 62 years of love and commitment until Linda's passing in January 2025. Their bond was unwavering, and Linda and their daughters remained the center of Mack's world throughout his life. Mack spent many years as a long-distance truck driver, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family. When he wasn't on the road, he enjoyed playing pool, spending time with family and friends, and never passed up the opportunity to place a good wager now and again. His quick wit, kind heart, and easygoing nature made him someone people genuinely enjoyed being around. He leaves behind his loving daughters, Amber Edmondson and her husband, Brian, and Cinnamon Carlisle. He was a proud grandfather to Brittanni Phillips and her husband, Jamie; April Garrett and her husband, Robert; Ryan Edwards and his partner, Elizabeth; and Alex Edmondson. Mack was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren: Emma Edwards, Jesse Bates, Blake Bates, Kyle Edwards, Aden Garrett, Carter Garrett, Alani Garrett, Ryanna Edwards, Brianna Edwards, and Everleigh Edwards, each of whom brought him great joy. He is also survived by his sister, Jean Miller, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will cherish the many memories they shared with him. Mack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Carlisle McVicker, whose loss he felt deeply. Though their time apart was brief, their love story is one that will continue to inspire all who knew them. Thomas "Mack" McVicker will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and a faithful friend. His legacy of love, strength, and unwavering dedication to his family will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
