Dorothy V. Dawson, 93 years of age went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 10, 2020. Dorothy was a devoted member Portsmouth Church of Christ and a native of Pocahontas, VA Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Phillip W. Dawson and her son-in-law Jon King. She is survived by her son, Randall P. Dawson, and his wife Gail; daughter, Katherine “Kathy” G. King; grandchildren, Ryan Dawson, Brittany Jacobson,Josh King and Penny Crone; great-granchildren, Brooks & Emily Dawson, Gavin & Grayson Jacobson, Kylee Dawson, JC King, Cody & Madison Jerrell A private service was held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
