Norma McMillion

Norma Lee McMillion, 84, entered the pearly gates of Heaven to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 8, 2018. Norma was a native of West Virginia and resided in Chesapeake, Virginia for the last 51 years. She was welcomed with open arms by her late husband, Russell Alfred McMillion Sr.; parents, Vernon Walker and Elsie Baldwin; daughters, Anna Wolff and Phyllis Queen; son, Russell McMillion, Jr.; granddaughters, Meghan McMillion and Crystal Crabb; grandson, Ronnie McMillion, Jr.; brothers, Charles and Alfred Reed and sister Shelby Gipson. Norma devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchild. She enjoyed traveling with her family and going to casinos with her daughters. Nothing gave her more joy than to see her family all gathered together for holidays, special events or just because. She never came across anyone she would not hesitate to share stories about her 10 children and her family whom she adored. Norma was pure at heart and everyone that knew her admired her. She is survived by her children, Norma “Peachy” Nelson (Benny), Robert “Mac” McMillion (Mary), Ronnie McMillion, Donnie McMillion, Diana Kallenberger (Bill), Donna Rice, Joan “Joany” Bell (Steve); 20 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren and a great great-grandchild; sisters, Sandra Edminston and Lily Reed. She will also be missed by her son in law, Marshall Wolff, (Anna) and daughter in law, April McMillion (Russell), several sisters in law and a host of nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Loving Funeral Home. Church services will be on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 12:00 pm by pastor Jason Hawks at Community Church, 1935 Jolliff Road, Chesapeake, Virginia 23321 followed by burial Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk, Virginia. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Scleroderma Foundation.
