Paul Creecy Sr.

Edward Paul Creecy, Sr., 81, of Portsmouth, Va. passed away peacefully at home Saturday, February 26, 2022. He is predeceased by parents, George Hines and Bessie Gatling Creecy, siblings, Hines Creecy, Jr. and Pauline Martin, and his beloved dog, Mischa. He is survived by his wife, Georgie Sumner Creecy; daughter, Lee Creecy Garza (Tim); son, Edward Paul Creecy, Jr.; grandchildren, Jenah, Alex, and Aimee Creecy; siblings Nancy Norris, Linda Rawlinson, Joseph Creecy, Sr. and Douglas Creecy, Sr. as well as many nieces and nephews. Paul retired from the Portsmouth Fire Dept. after 28 years of service. He followed his passion for all things fishing by working part-time at Wilcox Bait & Tackle. He had many interests and hobbies including fishing, camping with his family, cooking, wood-working, and bird-watching, just to name a few. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 1-4 pm at Portsmouth Boat Club, 20 Elm Ave, Portsmouth, VA 23704. Casual attire.
