Debra Cunningham Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

In Loving Memory Debra Stinnett Cunningham A beloved mother, friend and wife, Debbie Cunningham went home to be with the Lord on June 20,2021. After a courageous three year battle with brain cancer, Debbie passed peacefully in her sleep. On the three occasions she had surgery at UVA, she used those as opportunities to express her faith and love of God to others. We will love and miss her forever. Debbie was a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia and retired as a TCC Adjunct Professor/Lay Methodist Campus Minister. She was a member of New Creation United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for the youth and Golden Rule Classes. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ron Cunningham; daughter, Brittney and husband Toby; son, Brett and wife Jennifer; five grandchildren; and her fur babies, Zeke and Lexi. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to The Union Mission Ministries, P.O. Box 3203, Norfolk, VA 23514 or unionmissionministries.org. The family will receive friends at Loving Funeral Home, 3225 Academy Ave., Portsmouth, VA 23703 on June 24, 2021 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Burial will be private at the Albert G. Horton Veteran Cemetery in Suffolk.
